Reading your website and correcting information
How “Read” works and what to do if a page can’t be read.
- In the “Have a website? We’ll read it” field enter the address, for example
mywebsite.com, and press Read. - Wait a few seconds. Result: the fields fill in from the page’s public text. Nothing is saved yet.
- Read each field: delete what’s unnecessary and add what’s missing, especially prices and VAT.
- Press Save.
If you see “This page could not be read” — the page may block robots or be made of images only. Fill in the fields by hand; it takes a couple of minutes. You can try reading up to 10 times per hour.
Reading uses only publicly visible text. The assistant does not revisit your page — if something on your website changes, update the fields.
